The Cannabis Beverage Association (CBA), the leading trade association focused on the cannabis-infused beverages industry, announced its partnership with TraceTrust, the leading cannabis industry certification company. This partnership was forged to specifically collaborate on developing standardized industry guidelines for the cannabis beverage category.

The CBA was formed by cannabis industry leaders to unite and establish guidelines for the fastest growing segment in cannabis to ensure standards in manufacturing and consumer safety. Through industry leading best practices and policy reform, the CBA intends to revolutionize how cannabis is consumed.

With the mission to unite cannabis beverage stakeholders and advance the collective interests of the industry through advocacy and education, providing an alternative method of consuming cannabis in a socially acceptable manner with products that provide a safe and enjoyable experience for consumers, the CBA is dedicated to providing standards for the industry.

TraceTrust is committed to elevating the industry standard of dose accuracy to support cannabis edible manufacturers dedicated to product transparency and safety, furthering consumer confidence in cannabis products.

With an industry category estimated to be worth $1.85B in 2020 and having a 45% compound annual growth rate (according to Prohibition Partners), cannabis infused beverages are on track to become a major consumption method.

The CBA and TraceTrust have been working together over the last year to develop the partnership, so that they can identify the future needs for certification in the growing cannabis beverage industry.

“This partnership will allow us to establish best practices and set the standards for cannabis beverages testing, and TraceTrust is the most qualified to provide this certification.” said Macai Polansky, CBA President and Founder.

“The CBA is focused on doing the right things from the beginning and focusing on developing a standardization process is so important to do in a maturing industry.” said Merril Gilbert of TraceTrust.

The CBA looks to those in the beverage industry to band together to build a unified front to develop these standards.
