Most successful professional accomplishment before cannabis: Before I became an entrepreneur, I had the opportunity to travel the world to train people to use different types of technology. I worked closely with top companies in the tech space, including Salesforce and DocuSign. This experience is where I discovered my knack for learning the ins and outs of different platforms rather quickly. Teaching someone else how to use these platforms also came easy, especially after training people in various countries with different cultural backgrounds.
Company Mission: Voyage Distribution’s mission is to simplify the path that cannabis travels from the farm to the dispensary, by integrating technology, unique wholesale strategies, and data-driven solutions throughout the supply chain.
Company’s most successful achievement: We’ve built Voyage Distribution to be more than just a distributor. We’re a supply-chain company that incubates cannabis brands, distributes products across dispensaries in California, and stores cannabis flower in a one-of-a-kind wholesale showroom. What I’m most proud of, though, is that we’re leveraging our vast network of growers who we’ve built trusting relationships with over time, to essentially cut out the middleman for high-end flower and make it more attainable and inclusive to the cannabis community. This was our main goal with launching Wyllow, a flower brand for the conscious cannabis connoisseur that’s powered by Voyage Distribution. Right now we’re leveraging the buzz of Wyllow to raise important conversations around social equity, opportunity and female empowerment.
Has the company raised any capital (yes or no): No we have not.
Any plans on raising capital in the future? No, we don’t have any current plans at the moment.
Most important company 5-year goal:
Before my husband Josh and I decided to start a distribution company, we actually owned a dispensary in California. We shifted direction after realizing the distribution space lacked the efficiency and technology that we knew we could bring to the table. A few years later, we’ve been able to grow a vast distribution company that services California dispensaries, manufacturers, distributors and cultivators. In the next five years, we plan to expand our footprint throughout additional states with a focus on emerging markets that need more representation from female cannabis executives.
