Full name: Scott Sundvor

Title: President and Co-founder

Company: Space Coyote

Years at current company: 2

Education profile: I received a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 2012, with a Minor in Sustainable Energy, and a Concentration in Psychology.

Most successful professional accomplishment before cannabis: Before working in the cannabis industry, I founded and successfully launched Nima Sensor, where we created the world’s first portable gluten and peanut sensors to test for allergens in food. Our company and product were awarded Time Magazine Best Inventions of the Year in 2015, and I was personally awarded Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2018.

Company Mission: Space Coyote is a cannabis company in a groove all their own. As California’s premier infused joint maker, each Space Coyote combines high potency herb and delicious, out of this world extracts. Crafted for stoners by stoners, Space Coyote celebrates art, equality, and the psychedelic side of cannabis. Collaborations with cultivators, extract brands, and artists are at the core of Space Coyote’s mission. Each joint perfectly pairs full-bud flower with phenomenal concentrates like diamonds, live resin, and hash made by the top extract brands in California. Space Coyote is committed to the betterment of the planet and has an environmental focus on everything they do. Space Coyote can be found in over 320 dispensaries. Company’s most successful achievement: With only $900k in funding, we launched one of the most successful preroll brands in the state of California, and in less than two years on the market, we are now distributed in over 320 shops throughout the state. Our joints are consistently the most delicious, potent, and highest quality on the market, and our brand stands out from the crowd. Our sales have doubled in the past couple months and we expect them to double again shortly. We’ve been highlighted in Forbes, Benzinga, and The Dieline for our work, and this is only the beginning!

Has the company raised any capital: Yes, we raised an angel funding round of approximately $900k in late 2018 / early 2019.

Any plans on raising capital in the future? We’re a profitable company and don’t require additional funding, but we do plan to bring on additional capital in Q4 2020 / Q1 2021 to fuel our marketing and sales budget and speed company growth. We’ve proven our market, and proven that we can grow sustainably, so we now feel confident to bring on additional capital to fuel our growth and dominate our market segment.

Most important company 5-year goal: Within the next 2 years, Space Coyote is going to be the top preroll brand in the state of California. Within the next 5 years, we’re going to be the top preroll brand in the US.

Editors Note: While we want to get everyone a voice, it seems the complaints should be directed at the company Medline and not Mr. Sundvor. Once a company is sold, the seller no longer has any control over the company’s decision making. While acknowledging customers are unhappy with the way Medline has treated them, this doesn’t seem to be the right person to direct that anger towards. At this point, we are going to remove the comments regarding the company Nima and suggest complaints be forwarded to the current owner. We hope the consumers get the satisfaction they are looking for with regards to their products.

With all due respect Debra we are also angry with the way that Nima, and the execs who sold the company just recently, including Mr. Sundvor’s co-founder, co-alumni, and friend, Ms.Yates, treated us and the zero transparency we were and are being provided with. With every sale comes the ability to protect your current consumer. The people who supported your vision, the product you continually are referencing to as a success. We wish Mr. Sundvor continued success in the business world, but to suggest that the Nima sensor in any way shape or form is a functioning product right now is misleading. Removing our comments feels like a form of censorship, allowing them to stand with your comment would have felt more appropriate.
