Greenhouse Ventures Announces Cannabis Learn Conference

On March 6, 2018, Greenhouse Ventures, a cannabis business accelerator, announced that it would host the first annual Cannabis Learn Conference from April 30 – May 2, 2018. Set to occur in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the event is being touted as one of the largest gatherings of cannabis researchers and universities in the world.

This is not the first time that Greenhouse Ventures has hosted its own cannabis conference. In 2016, the company hosted the Innovation in the Cannabis Industry conference, which sold out. The company has also held multiple ongoing educational programs in conjunction with Thomas Jefferson University. Given the success of previous conferences, event organizers expect the Cannabis Learn Conference to sell out.

As legalization spreads across the United States and countries like Canada prepare for adult retail sales, interest in medical cannabis research has reached an all-time high. Hoping to leverage the public interest in both medical cannabis research and technology and innovation, the conference will coincide with Philly Tech Week 2018 and integrate cannabis research with technology commercialization.

“Whether it’s business professionals, healthcare professionals, current owners, and operators, or individuals looking to enter the industry, education is the greatest need within the cannabis industry,” said Tyler Dautrich, Operations Manager at Greenhouse Ventures. “The Cannabis Learn Conference and Expo will provide a platform for these stakeholders to learn what’s to come in the industry from data backed by research.”

The conference will feature a collection of researchers and speakers from a number of prestigious universities; including Thomas Jefferson University, University of Colorado, Temple University, University of New Mexico, University of Florida, University of Virginia, and University of the Sciences.

Topics covered at the conference will include synthetic cannabinoids, cannabis as a solution to the opioid crisis as well as a multitude of issues surrounding international cannabis standards; such as packaging and labeling.
