Love Camp was created as a coaching, networking, and wellness experience for stressed-out founders. Love Camp for Founder Wellness will be held Aug 15 and 16 in Portland, OR on a working farm and corporate retreat space just 30 minutes outside of the city but a world away. The organizers said the Camp is limited to just 20 founders to maximize the depth of coaching and connections.
The event will feature “How I did it” stories from seasoned entrepreneurs like Ben Cohen from Ben and Jerry’s
and Lavetta Willis from Dada Supreme
, Players’ Only and the Weber Wild Fund. The statement from the organizers said these entrepreneurs and more will share their stories from an inside-out perspective sharing the mental health journey of how they did it.
“The goal is to give historically excluded founders the space to recharge and renew with self-care and wellness therapies, both group and individual including yoga, meditation, sound bath, guided nature walks, massage, and more. The historically excluded founder faces more hurdles to launch and sustain a business and is often “wearing thin,” from that journey. Our first priority at Love Camp is to care for these founders.”
In addition to the wellness aspects and motivational talks, there is a goal for expanding the network for historically excluded founders in meaningful ways. Small is the new big and journeys are better together. The small group of camp attendees, plus an environment tailor-made for depth of connection, will expand the founders’ networks to peers who can walk alongside them, as well as mentors, coaches, and potential funders. Camp culminates in a 5-course, alfresco, Founders & Funders Sunset Dinner tailor made for creating connections between founders and a network of people who can propel their journey.
