Finding the unique narrative style between personal experience combined with the expertise of a mental health professional makes for a rare book indeed. A few things become quite evident quickly here; the author is very knowledgable when it comes to the topics at hand, he is very passionate about the potential benefits of MDMA, and that this book was not put together on a sudden whim or with minimal effort. Everything from the authors owns introduction to the personal observations regarding MDMA sessions, MDMA usage tips and protocols, and all the way through to the notes and resources provided at the end reads as though the author were striving to convey just how much of a benefit this can be to so many people.

Summary

It’s not every day that you get to peer into the mind of an MDMA-oriented psychoanalyst with years of experience as a mental health advisor so this book has unique value and insight to
offer right off the bat. If you’ve been curious about exploring MDMA usage, then this book would make for an excellent jumping-off point as a legitimate professional writes it with years of experience who seems to possess a genuine passion for helping others to live better lives from the inside out. The balance between personal anecdotal experience coupled with the expertise of a licensed psychoanalyst makes for a potent combination that seems much more trustworthy than other comparable titles.

The information presented in this book between the tempting nugget photos is intended to serve as a modern guide for cannabis regarding topics such as strains, benefits, types of high, and so much more.

About the Author

Dan Michaels, author of “Green: A Field Guide to Marijuana”, is also the founder of a cannabis research group known as Sinsemedia and works to innovate in the cannabis industry by leveraging his marketing skills and other experiences. Dan spends much of his time as a consultant in the cannabis industry and focuses on building up new brands and products for consumers.

It would also seem that his eye for buds is on point as the cannabis depicted in this book appears to be some very tasty fire. The credit for the high-quality photos goes to Erik Christiansen.

Reading Experience

Even those of us with a decent background in cannabis can learn a thing or two through this book so the inexperienced will find this book to be a veritable treasure of cannabis information and very informative photos. Learning about the tastes of different strains, sativas versus indicas, common effects, and more are very useful tidbits of information that are available for you in “Green: A Field Guide to Marijuana.” There are also a variety of really sharp infographics that break down topics such as flavor palettes and the difference between sativa and indica oriented cannabis. This book is an excellent way for rookies to begin to learn the ropes about the world of marijuana or as a nice coffee table book for the seasoned veterans out there. You can also review some of the cannabis lingo presented in this book as well to see just how well versed you and your friends are on that topic.

Summary

Here’s a fun addition to the cannabis library that can be rather enlightening and fun to just drool over those bud pics now and again. Those are some pristine booking flowers that would tempt any fan of marijuana. Moving past the introduction and into the section about plant anatomy already has the reader interested in the high definition photos coupled with the flow of the writing keeps this book moving along well. The structure of the book is easily navigable and really helps to feel like a reference guide you can visit as needed.

The diagrams and breakdowns of the cannabis information really help the reader to understand just what the author is working to convey.

The cat is out of the proverbial bag in the sense that the people know without a doubt that the hemp industry is incredibly lucrative and beneficial to humanity for a wide variety of reasons.

What most people don’t get to see is an inside look at the industry through the eyes of veteran on the frontlines of the ever-evolving hemp and cannabis industries. Bonus points to the author for referring to himself as a “Gonzo journalist” as a nod to HST.

Let’s take a peek into the world of “American Hemp Farmer” and see what author Doug Fine has to say about growing hemp, regenerative farming, and the hemp industry as a whole.

This book takes a dive into the world of growing hemp, the industry surrounding it, and one journalist’s perspective from seed to flower, so to speak.

Here you will find awesome information on growing hemp, what kind of potential gear malfunctions to expect, information about genetics, and so much more.

The author also does a very adept job at painting a picture of a potential future where regenerative farming and hemp use contribute greatly to adding value to human lives while also being kinder to the planet.

-About the Author-

Doug Fine has an interesting mix of background experiences ranging from winning awards as a culture and climate correspondent for organizations such as The NewYork Times, Washington Post, and NPR, he has experience as a comedic journalist, and has cultivated high-quality cannabis in different states over the years.

His previous books “Hemp Bound”, “Too High to Fail”, “Farewell, My Subaru” (a Boston Globe bestseller), “Not Really an Alaskan Mountain Man”, and “First Legal Harvest” are all currently available for sale.

It comes as no surprise to learn that author Doug Fine is both a comedian and fan of Hunter S. Thompson as the writing style reflects a playfulness and a stylish use of adjectives.

The light tone in no way detracts from the quality of the information presented in “American Hemp Farmer”. It’s not a terrible notion to be able to learn from a book and also enjoy the reading experience.

There is a seamless blend of personal experience coupled with the depth of expertise that only comes from those who have immersed themselves into a complex topic for long periods.

-Summary-

If you’re looking to learn more about the hemp industry from an experienced perspective and also not be bored to death by the experience then “American Hemp Farmer: Adventures and Misadventures in the Cannabis Trade” deserves a spot on your bookshelf.

Author Doug Fine brings his vast level of knowledge on the subject to the table while also displaying a high level of writing skill coupled with a degree of playfullness that makes for very smooth reading.

There is so much buzz about CBD and it’s potential benefits but much of the reliable, useful information on the topic can be drowned out at times by scammers and snake oil salesmen so having a legitimate guide to CBD is refreshing to see.

Author Jamie Evans breaks down her extensive knowledge on the topic of ways to properly leverage CBD to live a healthier lifestyle.

Jamie Evans is an author, educator, and host who has a special place in her heart for the various applications of CBD. She is the founder of Herb Somm, a contributor to MARY magazine, she has been featured on Forbes, LA Times, and more.

Jamie also has experience in producing high-end events, public relations, and is also the co-editor of GoldLeaf’s acclaimed Cooking Journal.

-Reading Experience-

First off, I must say how impressed I was with the physical copy of the book and packaging they sent it in. Very classy.

The table of contents is broken down as an effective guide should be and the topics listed in the table of contents are worth getting excited over. CBD facemasks? CBD drinks? CBD DIY projects? Yes to all the above!

Also respect to the photographer as the pictures in the “The Ultimate CBD” are clean, clear, and really add to the overall vibe of the book. The photos of CBD drinks are downright tempting.

You can refer back to this on time and time again to consult on recipes and directions so here is yet another fantastic addition to the bookshelf.

-Summary- 

Words like “smooth” and “clean” don’t always come to mind when discussing reference guides but here are.

“The Ultimate Guide to CBD” does the wonderfully of being a reliable guide to CBD use while also managing to refrain from feeling boring or dry thanks to the light-hearted writing style coupled with the cheery photos used in the book.

If you’re interested in learning more about just what Cannabidiol (CBD) is, how to make CBD drinks, and so much more then there is no doubt that this book needs to be in your collection.

It’s 2020 so of course, we have more and more awesome content hitting the market when it comes to fun and creative ways to ingest your THC. It’s an ever-evolving game that we the consumers are happy to be test subjects in.

“High Cookery” by Gilad Meiri is a fantastic book that brings gourmet quality recipes to the everyday cannabis consumer in a way that is fun to read and produces very tasty results.

If smoking your flower is no longer as exciting then it is time for you to venture into the realm of cannabis kitchen work.

This is a fun topic to get into.

Not just another basic ganja cookbook, author Gilad Meiri brings incredibly accessible gourmet-level food options that are comfortable to put together while providing a unique edible experience beyond just that of the buzz from the marijuana.

Flavors, textures, myths surrounding the relationship between cannabis and food, and so much more are broken down in “High Cookery”.

Desserts and main dishes are present in this book alongside detailed instructions as to how to properly prepare these appealing consumables. Nothing here that you can’t handle.

First off, the infused sundae depicted on the cover of “High Cookery” by Gilad Meiri is already tempting before even cracking the cover of this book and when you do crack the cover you are pleasantly surprised to see in the table of contents a nice breakdown of the interesting topics to be discussed.

Many other cannabis cookbooks focus on sweets and dessert items almost exclusively so it is refreshing to see recipe sections focused on healthier dishes, infusions, dips and dippers, unorthodox combinations, and much more.

You absolutely get the sense that the author has engaged in some serious trial and error when it comes to cannabis culinary creations and has condensed this experience into the book for our benefit.

-Summary-

Those who are new to creating consumables with marijuana will find “High Cookery” to be a great place to begin their own cannabis edibles adventures and the experienced hands out there will likely find some tidbit they had not previously known so this book has solid content for anyone who appreciates the multitude of benefits from cannabis consumption.

The recipes feel tried-and-true, are easy to follow, and produce reliable results. There are some fascinating combinations in there as well as some classic recipes done with a slight twist. Some of these recipes seem like excellent ways to entertain and impress the company with some killer edibles.

Today we have the opportunity to discuss the modernized and updated version of “The Emperor Wears No Clothes: A History of Cannabis/Hemp/Marijuana” by one of the cannabis industry’s most prolific figures, Jack Herer.

I mean, the guy has a potent strain named after him. That’s serious credentials in the marijuana world.

Many people involved in these industries tend to display consumption in a positive light without discussing potential risks so being willing to address the potential negatives of such consumption lends the writer a degree of credibility.
