Media

Ronit Pinto – Founder, Honeysuckle Magazine

Ronit Pinto founded Honeysuckle in 2013 as a digital publication centered on provocative arts, culture, and film. The initial written and video features were largely helmed by Pinto and her partner, filmmaker Sam C. Long, with contributions by several Detroit-based writers and artists. After the relocation of its headquarters to New York, Honeysuckle debuted limited-edition print issues in 2015, its first cover spotlighting a Detroit punk artist. Limited print runs continued through 2016 before the company underwent a rebrand in 2017 that resulted in wider United States distribution. By 2018 Honeysuckle had secured national distribution, including the bookstore chains Barnes and Noble and Books A Million, and digitally through iTunes, Google Play, and Apple News. In 2019, Honeysuckle created Honey Pot Magazine, a sister print-and-digital publication focusing exclusively on cannabis and hemp issues.
